During this time we had started to work in a similar way with 2 schools close to the central sector of Mary de Charlottesville, Virginia. The classes would write poetries as a group, send them to us; we would publish them and place in music and let us play them for the school in a concert. In a case, a student had written about a child of same parents who had a tragic death, a death this felt student responsible for. The student had seldom spoken about the loss until deciding to write something to put to us in the song. It began an astonishing curative process for the student, and a realization that what we did was very powerful.
